Who am I?
I'm Yaroslav - a Paris-based branding art director originally from Ukraine, currently doing a Master's in Art Direction at LISAA Paris.
I've spent the last few years studying, building brand identities, and figuring out what kind of designer I actually want to be - and somewhere along the way I developed a strong opinion: the best brands don't explain themselves, they make you feel something before you've read a single word.
I also have an unhealthy obsession with matcha, but that's a conversation for another day.
A business without a brand is just a thing that exists. It works, it functions, it takes up space - like a mannequin in a shop window. What branding does is make it human. It gives it a personality, a presence, a reason for people to stop and actually feel something before they've read a single word.
That's what I find fascinating about this work - the best brand identities don't explain themselves. They make you feel them.
